Meet The Team: Roy
The trade counter at Gawcott in Buckingham has a range of hand tools, power tools, drill bits and measurement devices, plus it sits alongside 13,000 SF of Quest warehouse space providing access to the full range of Quest ironmongery, consumables, site lighting, workwear, tools and sliding door gear.
Roy looks after customers that visit the trade counter and offers often invaluable advice to people visiting looking for solutions.
Customers vary, they could be trade account customers that need to pick up an item that day or would like one to one advice to help them select the perfect solution for their project. Local builders, joiners or plumbers also find it a convenient place to pick up resources on the way to a job.
Roy, commented “The trade counter is a fantastic resource for many of our customers, especially the more local ones, they can pick up a an item quickly and find the best product for the job they are working on and if I don’t have the answer to someone’s technical question I can call in a Quest product specialist from the office”
Roy’s Typical Day
7.00am -4.45pm
The trade counter opens and we have lots of early visitors from the trade picking up items that are needed for their days work. With so many brands available of consumables like sealants, wood glues and varnishes, trade people often take advice on which variant would best match their particular scenario.
The trade counter has a steady flow of people all day. There is a wide range of ways to shop, some people order on the phone, using the Express Collection service, others come in looking for product guidance.
Roy added “Customers also like the easy parking, tea and coffee on tap and of course biscuits with orders over £100”
The new Quest catalogue is available to pick up at the trade counter, and all the products inside are on hand in the shop or the warehouse.
